Ozark is a convertible lamp shade concept that can be produced and adapted for a user's preference. As a pendant lamp or task lighting, the simplistic silhouette and natural tones blend seamlessly with existing decor, and the metallic inner finish reflects and brightens the light of the bulb, providing big impact in a small package.

Problem

As a new industrial design student, I needed to learn a variety of hard skills related to prototyping and fabrication. The focus of this project was to maximize the use of fabrication techniques and tools and explore color, material, and finish options.

Solution

The Ozark lamp showcases a learned skillset in specialized fabrication methods such as wood turning, vacuum forming, assembly, and high-quality finishing.
